Update from Cosgrove: interim principal named; parent feedback wanted for search
Published on Oct 19, 2018 15:17
Congratulations once again to Ned Dale on his appointment as the new Superintendent of the Elba School District, effective Nov. 15.
A mid-year transition presents its challenges, however we are pleased to share that Director of Curriculum Kristen Paolini has agreed to serve as the interim principal for Cosgrove. In her current position, Paolini leads our district instructional initiatives, many of which are at the middle school level, therefore she will be the ideal administrator to keep Cosgrove and our curriculum projects on track.
Prior to being named the director of curriculum in 2017, Paolini served as an assistant principal at Spencerport High School from 2012-2017. Her responsibilities included supporting the students of the Classes of 2016 and 2020 in their progress toward graduation, creating the master schedule, leading the Spencerport Academy, overseeing clubs and activities, organizing school wide events, leading departments in curriculum revision, evaluating and hiring teachers.
She previously worked in the Gates Chili School District as an English teacher, substitute assistant principal, and assistant principal for the BOCES 2 Regional Summer School.
Spencerport has posted its open search for the next middle school principal and the district would like to engage the Cosgrove community, including staff, parents and guardians, and students, for their input for our next principal. Please click the following survey link https://bit.ly/2NQl5dg and provide your feedback by next Friday, October 26.
