February 1st update

Hi Cosgrove Families-

I hope this message finds you well (and warm)! Despite the arctic weather, it has been a great start to the third quarter at Cosgrove. Students have done a great job acclimating to their new schedules and are excited for the final twenty weeks of the school year.

Our new assistant principal, Tracey D’Alonzo, has transitioned to her role here at Cosgrove. Tracey is busy getting to know our students and families and is excited to begin her work with your sixth grade students.

The two weeks prior to February break bring excitement to our school. Next week is School Counselor appreciation week and I look forward to recognizing our counselors for all that they do for our students on a daily basis. On Wednesday, February 6, Cosgrove LOTS will be holding their next meeting (7 pm in the Cosgrove Library). I will be attending this meeting and look forward to meeting more of our parents and community members.

The week of February 11-15 is our annual Groundhog Olympic spirit week. Look for the themed dress up days as we get closer to that week. Friday, February 15 will be our annual Groundhog Olympic pep rally in the gym at the end of the day. This is an awesome event and is a great way to send our students off to February break.

Thank you for all of your continued support of Cosgrove. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any questions or concerns.

Take care,

Jim Centola

Cosgrove Principal
