Cosgrove Update 9/13
Published on Sep 13, 2019 16:02

Hello Cosgrove Families,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to provide you with a brief update from Cosgrove. We had a great first full week and everyone has done a great job of getting back into the school routine. Here are a couple items for next week:

Curriculum night: Wednesday, September 18 at 6:30. We will begin in the auditorium and then transition to classroom visitations at 6:45.

6th grade chorus: If you have a student in the 6th grade and they enjoy singing, they can join the 6th grade chorus. It meets before school on Tuesday and Fridays, the district provides transportation and they have 3 concerts scheduled for this year. Please email Mrs. Perfetto ([email protected]) your child's name, team and address if you are interested. She will send you the chorus flier to get your child started.

NYS test scores: The NYS individual score reports are on their way home next week for the ELA and Math assessments that were administered last spring. Accompanying the reports, is a letter that describes how we use your child’s assessments results as one of the many data points to ensure we are meeting his/her academic needs. Please remember that this score report does not tell the whole story on what your child knows and can do, and it is only one piece of information that is examined as we work to support your child. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

Thank you for all of your support. As always, please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Jim Centola
