Cosgrove update 11-15
Published on Nov 15, 2019 16:03

Hello Cosgrove Families,

I hope this email finds you well. We have had a great couple of weeks here at Cosgrove, with lots going on both in and outside of school. We will be busy over the next few weeks with Thanksgiving and the Holiday season fast approaching. Here are a few updates for the next couple weeks:

  • The Spencerport School District Food Service Department is looking for your input. The department is considering changes to the menus and products served in the cafeteria. They have prepared surveys for parents and students to complete to have your voices heard. These surveys will be accessible on the district website, food service website, and in links sent to student email addresses. The survey will be open beginning on November 18th and close on November 24th. This is your chance to submit feedback on menu favorites and new menu items you and your child would like to see offered. The Food Service department would love to see every student complete the survey but parents can also voice their opinions through a parent specific survey.

  • For the very last time in paper form, report cards are coming home today in the mail!  In support of your family’s transition to accessing digital report cards, you will find an Infinite Campus Backpack instruction sheet in your child’s report card that provides you with important information on how to access Infinite Campus Backpack to view the digital report card.  Please find time this weekend to log into Infinite Campus Backpack and digitally acknowledge your child’s first quarter report card by following the instructions attached.  Acknowledging the report card in the Infinite Campus Backpack will be our new approach to ensuring you have had the chance to review your child’s report card.  Additionally, please use the instructional video that can be found on the district’s website.

  • For 8th grade parents: HS Scheduling Night: December 3rd @ 6:30 in the HS PAC. Mr. McCabe will provide important information regarding the high school program and courses offered. Also for parents of 8th grade students going on the Boston trip – payment number two is due on December 2nd. Please contact Mr. Alley with any questions.

  • Parent/teacher conferences: November 20th from 3:45-6:45. Please contact the main office if you are interested in setting up a conference with your child’s teachers.

That’s it for this week. As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Jim Centola
