Cosgrove update 2-28
Published on Feb 28, 2020 16:04

Hello Cosgrove Families!

I hope this message finds you well. It is hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of February. I am sure you are as excited for spring as I am. There are  a lot of exciting things happening at Cosgrove, both in and out of the classroom. Here are a few important updates for the next couple of weeks.

Next week you will receive a letter in the mail from me regarding both the upcoming State assessments and final exam schedule. Please be sure to read the entire letter and reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

As a building, we are looking at our cell phone policy and potential changes for next year. With the full transition to a 1:1 school (meaning each student has a laptop), we have noticed that cell phones have become a distraction in classrooms and the hallways. While I do not know what our new policy will look like for next year, I do anticipate some changes to our current traffic light system. I welcome your input and feedback on our current policy and any suggestions you may having moving forward.

The performances of SHReK the Musical are fast approaching. All students will watch a brief preview of the play on Thursday, March 19th, during the school day. Full performances are Friday, March 20th at 7 p.m., and Saturday March 21st at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. I hope you are able to join us for one of these performances. Our students and staff have worked so hard to prepare and I am excited to see the final product.

Next Saturday, March 7th,  Spencerport is hosing the regional Odyssey of the Mind competition. Our Cosgrove team will begin at 8:20 at the HS East gym. Please consider coming out and cheering on our Cosgrove team.

Here is the March 20th half day schedule for students:

Thank you for all of your help and support. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
