Cosgrove update 5/24

Hello everyone,
I hope all is well and wish you a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend. Here are just a few updates as we head into the weekend:
Moving up day: This event for our 8th grade students/families is June 6 at the HS. We will begin at 1:30. This is a special event for our 8th graders as it symbolizes their transition to the HS. I look froward to seeing everyone there.
Dress Code: With the warmer weather finally here, please make sure that your child is meeting the dress code each day when they leave for school.
Computers: 6th and 7th grade students will keep their computer over the summer. If your child's computer is not working correctly or there is anything that needs to be fixed, please have them report to the tech desk to have it fixed next week. The summer is a busy time for our technology department and they will not be able to fix issues over the summer.
Lockers: Locker clean out day is Friday, June 14th during flex. At the end of the day on June 14th, lockers will be cabled shut, and students will no longer have access to their locker. It is a good idea to start cleaning lockers now and bring home anything that will not be needed for the remainder of the school year.
Flex for next year: Based on feedback from staff and students, we are making some changes to our Flex format for next year. Flex will be renamed as Advisement next year. There will no longer be an honors flex. All students will be scheduled into an advisement alphabetically by team. We will still recognize honors students, just in a different way next year. Details will be shared during our “welcome back” assembly on the first day of school in September.
Lastly, 5 week grades have been posted in Infinite Campus. Please contact your child's teacher/counselor with any questions or concerns.
