Cosgrove update 1-31

Hello Cosgrove Families!

I hope this message finds you well. I am excited to share that our report cards are now available exclusively on the Infinite Campus Backpack. We will not be mailing paper copies this quarter. I will also be placing a robo call to each family tonight to provide an additional reminder. Once you have viewed your child(s) report card, please be sure to check the box next to the report. This serves as your digital signature and indicates that you viewed the report card. Please see the Spencerport website for more information. If you have not accessed IC as of yet, please contact Linda Sauter at 349-5324 and she will help you through the process.

February is Black History Month and as a school we are excited to celebrate the important contributions that African Americans have made throughout our history. Each morning on the morning announcements we will highlight a different individual. We will also have a looping slide show displayed by the greeters desk that will run continuously throughout the month. Be sure to follow us on Instagram at Cosgrove_Middle_School to see all of the wonderful things happening throughout the school and in our classrooms.

The first week of February is Counselor appreciation week. I just wanted to take a moment to recognize our amazing counseling staff and all that they do for our students and school. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Henninger (6th), Mrs. Bell (7th), Mrs. Woodard (8th), or Mrs. Powlowski (social worker) should you need anything regarding your child.

The second week of February brings our annual winter spirit week, Groundhog Olympics. This is one of our favorite weeks of the year and culminates in a pep assembly on Friday, February 14th. We will have an modified schedule on this day.

 The theme days are:
Monday: Merica Monday
Tuesday: Pajama Day
Wednesday: Hawaii Day
Thursday: Decades Day
Friday: Class color day - 6th wear white, 7th wear gold, 8th wear blue

Thank you for all of your continued support. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,
Jim Centola
Cosgrove Principal
