School Comprehensive Education Plan
New York State identified Cosgrove Middle School as a Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) school in February, 2020. This is a new process that school districts are faced with under the ESSA regulations and it involves the creation of a needs assessment, locally developed plan to address the academic needs of Cosgrove's students, and the completion of a Diagnostic Tool for School and District Effectiveness (DTSDE). The district will receive funding for this work, yet it will require instructional shifts at the middle school level.
The designation is due to our disproportionality in terms of our students of color and their academic performance on NYS 6-8 assessments. Districts with TSI schools are responsible for conducting a Needs Assessment in the fall of 2020 and submitting a Modified School Comprehensive Education Plan (SCEP) by Dec. 31, 2020. The Spencerport Central School District complied with the timeline, and submitted the following plans.
2021-22:
District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP)
2021-22:
School Comprehensive Education Plan (Cosgrove)
